HostingPie (“we”) runs HostingPie Call-In-Chat, a live chat and voice calling service for websites. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Information about our customers

When you create an account we collect your name, business name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form). We also record the IP address you signed up from, sign-in times and payments you make, so we can run your account, prevent misuse of free trials and answer support requests.

Information about your website visitors

When visitors use the chat on your website, we store the messages, voice notes and files they send, the details they enter (such as name, email or phone), the page they were on, their IP address and browser. We process this on your behalf so you and your team can reply to them. You decide what to ask visitors and are responsible for telling them how you use their information.

Voice calls connect the visitor and your agent directly in the browser. We do not record calls; we keep a log entry with the call time and duration.

Cookies and notifications

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and secure your session. The chat widget stores a small token in the visitor’s browser so their conversation continues on the next visit. If you turn on notifications, your device’s push service delivers alerts about new chats and calls.

How we use information

  • To provide, secure and improve the service.
  • To contact you about your account, trial, plan and payments.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, including repeat free trials.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your visitors’ chats for advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with providers that help us run the service (such as hosting), when you connect your own CRM or other tools, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep account and chat data while your account exists. When your trial or plan ends, the data is kept so you can continue later. Ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it by writing to [email protected].

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
